Wearable Throw - Tai Yai
This Wearable Throw is not just a piece of fabric: it's a symbol of collaboration, craftsmanship, and social impact.
We proudly present a social impact project in partnership with the Tai Yai community on the Thai-Burmese border, aimed at empowering artisans, preserving traditional craftsmanship, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
In light of the ongoing conflict in Myanmar, our collaboration with the Tai Yai community holds even greater importance. The artisans, part of the Shan Women's Cooperative, are refugees from the Shan Refugee Camp, formed in 2002. Through economic empowerment and cultural preservation, we aim to positively impact their lives.
We are also honored to work with our head seamstress, Suey, from Thai Village, a non-profit supporting women through skill development and employment. Together, we promote ethical production and community support, ensuring each Tai Yai Throw enriches both your style and the lives of those who crafted it.
