Sustainability Mission

Did you know that about 15% of textiles end up on the cutting room floor? That’s tens of millions of tons of waste each year—just from clothing manufacturing. And that’s not even counting waste from textile factories, packaging, or the garments we, as consumers, discard.

At Color of Heat, we see things differently. We view fabric "waste" as a resource. Every scrap matters, and we see them all—turning what's left behind into upcycled trasures in our reHeat Collection.

Our reHeat Collection transforms fabric remnants and vintage recycled garments into funky tote bags, scrap garlands, patchwork clothing, scrunchies, fanny packs, and whatever else we can dream up. It’s all part of our commitment to keeping textiles out of landfills and giving them new life in creative, sustainable ways.

We believe clothing should never end up discarded. That’s why we’re building a closed-loop lifecycle for our garments.

We repair them to extend their wear and recycle them when they’re no longer usable. At the end of a garment’s life, simply send it back to us! We will repurpose it into our design cycle.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond up-cycling:

  • We work from a high-efficiency home studio.
  • Local deliveries are made via electric vehicle.
  • All our mailers are collected from our community and reused for our online orders.
  • Cooperative solar powers our workspace.
  • Our studio is surrounded by an edible permaculture garden.
  • From studio tasks to gardening, we rely on human effort to get the job done.

At Color of Heat, sustainability isn’t just a practice—it’s our ethos. Together, we’re shaping a future where fashion empowers rather than exploits, and where waste is just the beginning of something beautiful.
